Shibuya Crossing takes new steps and now chooses to strengthen its presence on the Swedish west coast by acquiring Datagiganten AB.
"Our operations continue to grow and we want to be able to support our customers, as many of them have operations around the country," says Kjell Olsson, CEO of Shibuya. "With the acquisition of Datagiganten, we come closer to our customers."
For several years, Shibuya has expanded both organically and through acquisitions, which has put the company in a strong position to offer system integration, data center infrastructure and consulting services.
"These are the positive effects of long term work to create a strong customer-close culture and development of our service offerings," says Kjell Olsson.
"Datagiganten is a smaller, but very competent business whom we have been watching for a long time and that complements us well, so when the opportunity was given, there was not much to think about."
The location on the west coast is strategically important for Shibuya. It increases the possibility to take on more extensive service agreements in the region, through the ability to provide local services and resources close to important customers
"We have already initiated discussions with several customers about the opportunities that are opened through this expansion," says Kjell Olsson. "It's great to put up the Shibuya signs in the Gothenburg region."
